It often seems, that the older one becomes, the more simplicity is appreciated. There is a search for the essence of things, and truth is found in that phrase- less is more.

We are not winemakers. We love winemakers, but we are not winemakers. But, we are great wine appreciators. We appreciate a beautiful glass of Piedmontese sfuso, made with its heirloom varieties, made with organically farmed fruit. Simply brought to life in the cellar, so that it arrives fresh and young, and delicious, bursting forth from our glass without makeup, like a young fawn that has learned to stand and who takes their first great leap. The energy of the wine is there. It is undeniably from Piedmont. It begs for agnolotti.

And as out minds wander South, to the sun and that gorgeous water- clear and clean and inviting. We think in a similar fashion. Of swimming and the beach. And grilling and fresh vegetables, and a chilled glass of Nerello Mascalese- also farmed organically- that simply washes it all down. It speaks of Sicily, and the sun, and the food, and the sea.

But, we live in America. Home of the hamburger and the hotdog, served alongside nachos and dips, and salad with ranch dressing. With families gathered and herds of kids running to and fro. Wine here reflects this scene. Bold, rich, fresh, welcoming. Cabernet Sauvignon from California. No oak! Just a good clean glass of Cab, in a Solo Cup, and a hamburger, and some chips, and a dog at our feet hoping for a fallen morsel.

We’re not winemakers, but we craft these wines with producers in order to deliver excellent value wines that we see as house wines for food. For that agnolotti pasta, or that fennel salad with shrimp, or even that classic hamburger with some Cab served in a Solo cup.

Enjoy!
